Letter from the Council President:

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” Matthew 7:1
These words from our Lord remind us that we are not called to pass judgment on one another but to walk in humility, grace, and love.
It is easy at times to fall into the habit of evaluating others based on our own perspectives, experiences, or even struggles. However, let us remember that only God sees the heart and knows each person’s journey fully. Instead of judging, we are called to extend compassion, to encourage, and to build one another up in faith.
As a church family here at St Matthew’s, let us be a reflection of Christ’s love in our community welcoming all with open hearts, offering forgiveness freely, and walking alongside one another with patience and understanding. May our words and actions always reflect the grace we ourselves have received through Christ.
I encourage each of us to examine our hearts and seek ways to show love where judgment may have taken root. Let us be a church known for its kindness, a congregation that lifts rather than condemns, and a people who reflect the love of Jesus in all we do.
May the Lord continue to guide us in His truth and fill our hearts with His boundless love.
Blessings,
Mike Stoker
Council President
