The focus of the 2024 Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly will be the election of a new bishop. The date is April 25-27, 2024 and will be held in Loveland, Colorado. This year’s St Matthew’s representatives are Pastor Brigette Weier and Harmony Thaemert. Thank you both for volunteering to represent St Matthew’s.
In the next several months during service, each ministry will provide a short presentation to the congregation, explaining what that ministry is involved with and introducing the ministry team members.
The preaching ministry team would like to remind all of us if you can please fill out a response form at the end of service about what you took away from the sermon. This information helps them to reflect on the message they gave and something they can build on for the future. The sermon team reviews the form every time they meet.
If you haven’t joined us yet, Adult forum is a delightful and engaging hour of discussion. Please join us for some great discussion on topics from the book Jesus Is Enough. Adult forum begins right after services every Sunday morning and we conclude our study at noon.
St. Matthew’s has a lot going on, so please remember, for information about what’s happening, check out St. Matthew’s website, newsletter, Facebook page or your personal e-mails. Council is dedicated to keeping you informed and of course the best way to keep up to date is to come to service on Sunday. Council has also dedicated a bulletin board in the hallway and will post minutes, agenda, treasurer’s report and all ministry reports for the past month.
We have a coffee and treat table setup just before service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Services begin at 10:00 a.m.
Our senior breakfast club is growing if you would like to join us we meet at Dee’s Family Restaurant 4710 South Redwood Road every other Tuesday at 9:00 am. Our next breakfast dates are February 13th and 27th.
