Letter from the Council President:
"Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10
When the Bible speaks of joy, it speaks of a profound gladness, not dependent on our circumstances but rooted in God’s eternal nature and promises. This joy is the overflow of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Imagine the joy in God's heart in creating a beautiful world, in walking with His people, and in seeing lives transformed by His love. God’s joy flows from His boundless love for His creation—His delight in you and me. As we approach this Christmas season let’s keep this joy of helping one another and walking with those that are less fortunate in the forefront of our daily tasks. This joy shines through in our relationships, our work, and our challenges. Let the joy of the Lord fill your heart so abundantly that others see the presence of God in you. Joy becomes a witness to the world of the peace, hope, and strength that only God can provide.
St. Matthew’s Hospitality Ministry sets up a coffee and treat table just before service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Services begin at 10:00 a.m.
Blessings,
Mike Stoker
