"Rejoicing in Christ, Empowered to Serve."
Worship is the center of our common life. Worship moves us to service. That service is supported by fellowship and community. Worship + Service + Community. We invite you to take part in these with us.
We are a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, committed to hospitality, justice, inclusivity, mercy and joy in the name of Christ.
We serve the West Side of the Salt Lake Valley. Our congregation came into being in 1989 when St. Paul and Atonement Lutheran churches merged.
St. Matthew's is excited to provide the opportunity to give your tithes and offerings online in a safe and easy way. This system enables you to support the church by making a one-time contribution or establishing a recurring contribution.

Outreach Ministry Activities for February
The Outreach Ministry would like to thank everyone who donated to the Souper Bowl of Caring this year. We are happy to report that 113 food items were donated for the VOA Teen Resource Center and $301 was donated to ELCA World Hunger. Your ongoing support is appreciated!!
The next Family Promise dinner at St. Stephen’s is scheduled for Monday March 26, 2018. This is an opportunity to provide a meal and support to families who are experiencing homelessness. A sign-up sheet for food items and volunteers will be posted in the narthex later this month.
Second Annual Stuffed Animal Drive
This year, the Outreach Ministry is collecting new stuffed animals to be donated to the West Valley City Police Department. The officers will take the stuffed animals with them when they respond to emergency situations with children involved. These stuffed animals are then given as a form of comfort to children who have witnessed or been victims of a crime.
There will be a decorated bin in the Narthex to collect the animals. Our goal is to collect 250 stuffed animals by Sunday April 8th when the animals will be blessed during services.
The next Outreach Ministry Meeting will be held on March 12, 2018 at 6:30. All are welcome! If you have any questions regarding the Outreach Ministry, please contact Jenny Cox 801-965-8484.
